About
Robert C. Arne, MA, MS, EA, CFP ®
Tax Strategist and Financial Life Planner
Robert is a life planner, teacher, and historian who cherishes listening to other’s dreams then fulfilling them with spiritual, intellectual, and economic freedom. He relished eight years of experience with Dunham Associates CPAs; there he prepared complicated tax returns and projections for high net-worth individuals and championed their causes when need arose before the IRS and FTB. You’ll love his broad education and sense of humor which can charm even IRS Agent Smith; you’ll trust him when you realize that he is steeped in honesty and fairness.
Robert studied political economy and history at University of California, Berkeley; University of Chicago; and Oxford University. He learned financial markets from Nobel Laureate professors, and augmented this education with a CFP® and a Master’s in Advanced Financial Planning from Golden Gate University, where he is now teaching finance as a professor. Robert understands business with everything from his knowledge of business plans and tax returns to his real-world experiences founding a tutoring center, a school, a nursing home, and doing multiple real estate ventures.
Robert is an empathetic financial coach who relates to tax, financial, and family challenges because overcoming these paved his own way to financial independence. He grew up in Oakland’s hills, loving its Redwood Park as the son of a judge and mother who raised and educated him well in legal logic and dramatic stories. He devotes his spare time to rebuilding his mountain chalet, studying Buddhism, tending pet koi, hiking, cycling, motorbiking, and singing sweet songs of liberty in a novel about religion in Revolutionary China.
For wisdom with compassion,
Robert C. Arne, MA, EA, CFP, MS in Advanced Financial Planning
